The same guidelines apply to my work with teenagers and young adults to some degree. I will provide the caregivers with general information unless your child gives me permission to provide more details with you. As with adults, having the freedom to disclose is an essential component in therapy.

By law, I have to report suspected abuse of a child, an elder, or a dependent adult.
By law, I have to report when my client is a danger to him/herself or to others.
If you seek payment or reimbursement from your insurance provider, they may require information regarding your treatment.
